went to a baseball game last night
mets @ marlins in miami
mets star shortstop francisco lindor and his wife had a kid on saturday, their first boy
i was thinking "man this guy is making hundreds of millions of dollars to play baseball for a living, for all intents and purposes he is living the dream, but i have more freedom than him,"
now i don't know if he necessarily had to be back for that game, he missed the one prior and probably could have taken a few more, but overall he's on a contract, he's getting paid to play ball, tight schedule, lots of travel
don't get me wrong, if i was offered the same contract, i'd take it, probably the first thing i wanted to be when i grew up as a kid was a baseball player
but freedom is nice
no boss, no investors, may not stay that way for ever, but important to recognize and be grateful for what i've got while i've got it
the ability to work for myself
freedom is much harder to measure than money, so people compete on money, less so on freedom.
i like freedom 2 replies
