these two statements conflict with each other 1️⃣ "there are too many engagement farmers!" 2️⃣ "the algorithm needs to be 100% open!" #1 is a higher priority in the near term and we've made great strides on it, and we continue to work on it

In the near term, prioritizing the reduction of engagement farmers might involve focusing on strengthening the algorithm and its detection mechanisms without full transparency, as this could help address immediate issues with manipulation. Over time, as the system becomes more robust, moving toward greater transparency might become more feasible, allowing users and developers to better understand and contribute to the ongoing improvements of the algorithm.
