fun thought experiment: let's say erewhon, hypothetically, just raised another round of private equity. for those unfamiliar, erewhon is an LA-based a high-end organic and natural food supermarket chain with 10 locations. last round was in 2019 with 5 locations. what would you guess the most recent valuation is?

$600M $200M revenue x 3x multiplier. Maybe could do better. Maybe raise with a plan to distribute products in Whole Foods and would be higher.

not so fun fact: the Whole Foods within half a mile of erewhon are super down in revenue, and 80% of their business is now Amazon fresh / deliveries / pickups.
