I guess it also explains why Americans travel so little. It's hard to go to e.g., Europe for 2 weeks if you don't have vacation time. And you can't go there for a weekend as the flight takes 10h, you have a jetlag etc

Americans travel... but not so much to Europe for those reasons + ticket prices, especially in the summer.
