planning to re sub to one of the AIs — are people preferring gpt or claude these days?

Claude is incomprehensibly better for certain tasks imo

I use ChatGPT for tasks I know I don’t need to waste Claude on

I have subscriptions to both, but mainly use the API for Claude. I prob pay around 200-300 dollars per month in prompting for my personal stuff alone just fyi

creating and destroying; built flying cars & autonomous vehicles, now building roc.camera, writings: july.rocks

My pattern of usage having used probably 100 hours on both Claude and ChatGPT

Claude 3.5 (latest one)
- I write longer prompts 
- more context overall
- shoot for zero shot 
- more throughout and throughly put together a plan 
- less follow up overall, get in done in 5ish prompts max

ChatGPT 4o or o1-preview
- o1-preview my behavior is similar to Claude
- 4o: I use it like I use Google
- not much context
- overall use in terms of prompts submitted is higher, lower quality prompts that I write for it tho 
- good for voice (but hasn’t stuck for me this one)
- lots of follow up sometimes over 20 or 30
- don’t care too much about context
- have to be careful not too pollute memory too much, or be selective about what gets remembered and whether I want them to remember it or not

would love to see you revisit this in a few weeks now that o1 is out of preview.
