just remembered today is my sober-versary 🥲

holy shit what a year.

so grateful, so here's a 🧵 with some thoughts:

also, i have to provide the disclaimer that i haven't been perfectly sober. 

but i can probably count on one hand the number of drinks i've had over the last year, and i've smoked weed... three times? i think? 

but perfect sobriety wasn't ever really the goal. i was just tired of not doing anything else with my life.

i'm in a completely different place in my life now, too.

i have a girlfriend i love
my first solo apartment
a new job

in a year, just about everything has changed.

there's so much i could say about this last year, but i think i'm gonna leave this thread pretty short. 

i just want to express how grateful i am. 

for my situation. for the people that have supported me. for the future ahead. for everything.

so here's to another year of better decisions. 🥂

and another year after that.

and another after that.

and another. and another. and another.

and, honestly, it's been really easy to be sober. 

i don't miss it. 

and i feel really fortunate for that. it absolutely could've been a fight and a struggle, but it's just been a blessing. 🥹
