As a VC, what does your investment process look like? I’m curious about how standardized it is across the industry.

It is pretty standardized, at least along firms that do similar types of investments. It might look like this: 1) contact/intro in some way, share deck, try product if applicable 2) meet a few team members for an hour or so 3) vc checks with team 4) if that goes by well, a few more meetings and some data sharing

4) this time of this step is highly dependent on the stage 5) yes/no interest decision 6) term sheet. Once this step is finished, a good vc won’t change their mind if there is not anything very important you haven’t told them. 7) due diligence.

8) signing binding agreements. Hopefully this is smooth since most important stuff was settled in term sheet. 9) sending money. 10) real work begins.
