Yeah this has been my experience too, good to know it’s generally standardized!

It is pretty standardized, at least along firms that do similar types of investments. It might look like this:
1) contact/intro in some way, share deck, try product if applicable 
2) meet a few team members for an hour or so
3) vc checks with team
4) if that goes by well, a few more meetings and some data sharing

you probably don’t think about liquidity enough // it is what it is  // build value, not valuation

1. Meeting
2. Socialize deal within team
3. Second meeting w/ partners
4. Internal decisioning (IC, etc)
5. Further diligence
6. Yes/no
7. Wire
