i went from being very into self-improvement stuff, then to thinking it was all corny slop for a few years, and now i'm back into it but through the lens of self-study. i see it now as just trying to get better at the meta-game of living, which is an infinite game

100% true. I've been through this stage as well. knowing when to stop, reflect, and get better is a superpower
