Bitcoin and Ethereum need each other. it's actually a good thing they're separate.

Why ETH leaders won't admit this idk. trying to separate from BTC was the most damaging to ETH imo.

simply put they're stronger together. it's the social layer that links them by the differences in ppls preferred protocol 

someone much smarter than me would be able to explain it better 

the tough pill to swallow is that this means this is true of all chains to some degree

why do they need each other? I don't see it

imo we should all hold some of other tokens to prevent tribalism
