Skiff was acquired by Notion and will be shutting down in six months. I feel saddened, and surprised to see Skiff go. 🙏

But did I use Skiff daily? Admittedly, no, and this was part of the challenge they faced. In fact, only 32 out of almost 5k subscribers on the @console newsletter use Skiff...

At @console we support end-to-end encryption, web wallets, decentralization, tokengating, and a list of other web3 features. We do now, and will always. But as we talk about Console, we'll be focusing more on the user journey (over talking tech).

I often ponder, how can I explain the benefits of Console without resorting to any tech jargon? 

That's our challenge, but it's also a challenge for everyone in the web3 space.

I have so much respect for the Skiff team and for everyone working here to create apps on the slowly burgeoning user-owned internet. 💜⭐✨

Lately I can't stop thinking about how....

Changing habits is tough. An app upgrade from Web2 to Web3 isn't enough value for most users to change habits. "Skiff dilemma" was a concern I held for Farcaster (until the introduction of frames last month which are quite innovative). We need more "frames" moments.
