How many times do I have to repeat that most users and developers on Farcaster did not know Varun or myself prior to joining Farcaster.

And in some cases have *become* friends because they stuck around early on when no one else cared. We've spent years with this people socializing on this social network. :)

Don't conflate something that's earned / built with cronyism.

i found Farcaster/MM found me during a sabbatical. read the GitHub docs and thought the tech was simple and straightforward. i took another opportunity, but didn’t stop thinking about the tech.

asked for an invite, installed the Mac app (via Notion setup docs lol), hosted a happy hour, quit Web 2.0 quickly after!

Already a past now! I even hunted down in telegram chat asking @dwr.eth why discontinue desktop client lol. Now I’m comfy w/ mobile & think mobile first was one of the best decisions merkle made for Warpcast haha

while i would love a desktop app, i completely agree 🎯
