damn just got $250k drained from one of my cold wallets it's so cold there is no way of tracing how that happened it isn't a large amount of money but i'm kind of dumbfounded by how this happened can't put my finger on it

There’s two possibilities: - your hardware wallet was one of the ones that used poor entropy in generating a seed phrase and finally ended up in the carousel of wallets that got popped - the grimmest possibility, one I’ve been warning about

Assuming you have the address(es) handy, taking a look at block explorers the wallet would have funds/data on is a first step. Next thing would be to confirm your wallet isn’t one that was affected by a vulnerability, by googling “<wallet vendor> vulnerability” and confirming your model isn’t in the list.
