Its impact itself even if it hits won't be humanity ending. We've had multiple nuclear tests with significantly greater tonnage in terms of impact

Indeed, 7.8 Mt would be ~370 Hiroshimas but only .5 Castle Bravo and .16 Tsar Bomba. Now it’s a gamble as to where it falls and who gets to retire early
