Sergey Panteleevich Mavrodi is a Russian founder of several financial pyramids, a politician and a writer. He is known as the creator of JSC MMM, which is considered the classic and largest financial pyramid in Russia in terms of the number of victims (10-15 million people) and damage (according to some estimates, 3 billion rubles).
In 2003, he was convicted of large-scale fraud. In court, 10,454 people were recognized as victims.
In 1994-1995, he was a deputy of the State Duma, created the "Party of People's Capital" and the party "MMM" (Ukrainian: My Name is Meta) in Ukraine. In 1996, he tried to nominate his candidacy for president of Russia, but was refused registration 0 reply
