Taiwan is so fascinating. Many know it supplies 90% of the world’s chip capacity. Lesser known: - strong democracy (~70% voter turnout) - high social trust (one of the lowest covid fatality rates) All despite being a military dictatorship less than 40 years ago and being the second-most religiously diverse countries on earth.

More adherence to guidelines early on, trust in public officials, etc. They had extremely strict protocols and people didn’t lose their minds over it like in western countries. https://publichealth.jhu.edu/events/covid-19-events-and-briefings/inside-taiwans-response-to-covid-19
