Q: Why isn’t LatAm’s Ethereum leadership engaging with the @ElectricCapital Developer Report? A: Latin America has immense talent density, yet the region continues to lag behind global counterparts due to systemic challenges. Leadership often focuses on consolidating power and resources rather than fostering growth or uplifting communities. While the region is abundant in resources, these rarely reach the builders driving progress. This leads to disillusionment, as the value created by builders is extracted to benefit a privileged few, perpetuating inequality and stifling innovation. Q: Why aren’t more builders calling out leadership? A: Because raising these systemic issues often results in being labeled as a malicious actor, grifter, troublemaker, or someone unaligned with Ethereum values. These labels damage their reputation and discourage much-needed discourse AND corrective action.
