Enjoying a cigar and some Old Overholt 11 year right now ahead of the Eagles’ /nfl game. It’s delicious. Not too spicy, rich and viscous, with classic vanilla notes that standup to and cut through the cigar.

What’s your price point? Any tips about your friend’s tastes (if you don’t know what he drinks anything helps: coffee or tea, what color wine, favorite meals, etc)

Super helpful. Here's a few suggestions: • Single barrels and store picks make great gifts, because even if your friend has the main brand, he likely doesnt have the single barrel, so hard to get a duplicate. • He likes Buffalo Trace's profile, so if you can find a BT special at MSRP, could be good. Think Blanton's Gold or a Buffalo Trace Single Barrel. • Knob Creek is a fantastic bourbon in that taste profile where you can find single barrels. Make sure it's 120 proof. With your budget, you can probably splurge for it and one other bottle as a double gift. I love Ol Granddad 114 as a filler bottle. • Elijah Craig Barrel Proof is hard to miss. Especially batch C923 (batch is on the label), but all batches are great. Plenty of store pick private barrels out there too. • New Riff Single Barrels can be *incredible* (seriously top tier) and even if you find an "average" one, it's still great whiskey. Report back what you end up getting! Good luck.
