WeatherXM Launches Governance with WIP-001 to Improve GPS Update Flexibility/n/nGovernance has officially launched for the WeatherXM Network, empowering token holders to participate in decision-making through WeatherXM Improvement Proposals (WIPs). The first proposal, WIP-001, is now live for voting and suggests adjusting the GPS location update penalty for weather stations from a daily or bi-daily requirement to a more flexible three-day window. WeatherXM token holders can cast their votes on the official Snapshot page until April 11, 2025.

It will probably have to come to that. We're just not so sure blockchain-based MRV systems can produce inherently better credits in practice (in theory, they absolutely can, of course). We'd even go as far as to say we need to move away from blockchain as a selling point for native on-chain eco credits.
