‘Why are you back here?’
I asked myself that as I stared at the app. I’d sworn off betting after last month’s disaster, but here I was, tossing fifty bucks on a football match I knew I had figured out.

The game started, and my team missed a penalty in the first ten minutes. By halftime, they were down 2-0. I threw in another hundred on a comeback, desperate for a win at least. 

They lost 4-0 that faithful night. 

As I stared at my empty account, I checked my betting slip and it was all red. 
All I wanted to do was deposit more.
