Maybe it's a bit audacious, but I really love it when the difference is subtle, like here:

Thanks! You mean when the colors are slightly different depending on the position ?

I'm not sure what drives the colors, but what I see in the screenshot I pasted up there is really pretty. The differences are very small, yet visible. They seem to have the same hue but slightly differ in saturation and brightness. Of course, it's my shallow, purely aesthetic impression. :)

Particules start with quite the same color with a little shift depending on the position using a noise. Then their color evolves the same way keeping the « shift). I need a bit of contrast, I want to let the algo goes for like 10s. Contrast helps to see the different step I guess

People like this one even if it has a lot of colors https://x.com/camillerouxart/status/1867622215602344208?s=46&t=6F1mmucbd2QC1Ib2sFiqFA But some with 2 colors are working well too: https://x.com/camillerouxart/status/1867869202864013477?s=46&t=6F1mmucbd2QC1Ib2sFiqFA https://x.com/camillerouxart/status/1867969629194428927?s=46&t=6F1mmucbd2QC1Ib2sFiqFA
