Thanks! You mean when the colors are slightly different depending on the position ?

Particules start with quite the same color with a little shift depending on the position using a noise. Then their color evolves the same way keeping the « shift).
I need a bit of contrast, I want to let the algo goes for like 10s. Contrast helps to see the different step I guess

I'm not sure what drives the colors, but what I see in the screenshot I pasted up there is really pretty. The differences are very small, yet visible. They seem to have the same hue but slightly differ in saturation and brightness.

Of course, it's my shallow, purely aesthetic impression. :)
