Intern #2 had to have his onesie put on. He’s been licking his belly fur off again to the point that there’s blood, and his backs paws get all wet/red from saliva and bits of blood. There are some steroid shots that help which we run through a couple times a year (lasts about 4 month per session) but with the medication he’s on right now, we have to pause those shots. Poor guy, always something going on with him 😿 😭 πŸ’œ

Ohhh sweety. Have you checked his general health. My cat used to do this when she was distressed by something else. For example, at some point we found out that she had high blood pressure and was not feeling right. But it can also be only behavioral as well. 100 $degen

Ya we have, unfortunately he has an auto-immune disease that we can only limit rather than cure. It's been ongoing for quite a few years now and we rotate between 4 months of steroid shots, then a break where he wears a cone/onesie if he's licking too much, rinse and repeat basically. Right now he's on some strong anti-anxiety meds too as he started spraying after we brought in intern #4 and then Furby. Thankfully he's done spraying and he's good around both of them and new intern #6 (Lily) as well. Slowwwwww and steady lol. πŸ– x 100 $degen
