Why do you think Apple hasn’t figured out gaming?

You mean at the level of Console Gaming or in general? Cause they’ve been having some pretty big advances recently with all the stuff they’ve been doing for Mobile Gaming and now with the power of the latest chips on both Mac and Mobile being able to run some pretty sweet graphics, like the new Assassin’s Creed and so on.

Mostly with laptop gaming - it’s always been a fraction of windows dominance

That’s true. And now with the power of Apple Silicon, they could have gone straight to attack this very significant area of gaming. People playing World of Warcraft have reported amazing performance with the Apple Silicon MacBook Pros, but still, we don’t see Apple making it attractive for the developers to create compelling games that take advantage of all the power Apple Silicon can give. It’s clearly a strategical decision and not lack of capability…I just don’t understand why they don’t go for it.

Honestly it also extends into stuff like Vision Pro where like just one flagship game experience could’ve made the platform launch much more successful

Hmmm, but for Vision Pro you’d have to consider it would need to be a Flagship game in the space of AR/VR and while there are some cools games around, it hasn’t been easy to say anyone has made the game of all games in this format. So Apple, who already doesn’t have that much expertise in making games, would need basically a miracle to come out making the flagship game. Not saying they’ll never get there with the right partnership, but I guess Vision Pro is still a newborn that will grow more and more into something fantastic. And today it’s already pretty impressive in doing some stuff. People say watching movies is something out of this world…
