Writing a brief new caster guide rn - should be out in the next few days! For now, 1. Reply earnestly to casts you vibe with 2. Cast the kind of content youβd want to engage with on Farcaster 3. Assume positive intent π«‘

Earnestness, I feel, lands you in a tender sweet spot of vulnerable generosity. However, it's delicate game theory. Walking into a knife fight in a naive manner ain't smart either, and so the great risk is that when the neighbourhood goes to seed, the rich "scenius" positive behavior will be the first casualty.

Tragedy of the commons. (unless of course we all want blood sports, then go at it...but that's not my particular desire).

I'd also double down on the "earnest" stance...spent a bunch of time talking with people about this. Cynicism is easy and has the advantage of making you look smart. Tearing something down is simple, but making something takes effort and creative leaps. Creative leaps make you vulnerable.
