i don't think so since frames are all basically front end tags magic

would need protocol level DMs first right?

This is actually not a trivial change. Core principle of frames is that the underlying trusted payload sent to frame servers reference a cast hash and cast fid with Farcaster Hub validated signatures. Direct messages do not have the same underlying reference and without it — they are just fancy renders of links.

Another use case where channels (token gated or otherwise) triumphs over Warpcast DCs
