I’ve been noticing that I get quite a lot
of engagement on my casts now, and certainly magnitudes more than a month ago when I first began casting in earnest. This is contrast to X where my engagement seems to have plateaued some time ago.

I have a large X following that I built up over a decade and also have a big professional network that I can’t really abandon there. That said I can see an organic kind of community building here through engagement and as that continues I naturally want to use the platform more in addition to X.

After 2+ years on FC, def realize it will likely cool off

FC has had many engagement boom/bust cycles already and the pattern is the same

Catalyst (token or rumor of token) -> increase -> frenzy -> Warpcast adjust app based on CIB/farming -> perceived engagement goes down -> catalyst ends -> app feels abnormally dead
