Prioritizing the Q in QDAU is how Dan got us all here in the first place. It’s too early to start leaning toward the DAU side.

Streaks implicitly asks the s tier content fountains at the heart of this app to give even more of themselves to the network. Here’s a falsifiable prediction:

After an initial surge, most top users will burn out on streaks, it will become the near exclusive province of low effort posters, overall content quality will drop, DAU will drop, & Dan in his godlike product wisdom will jack the feature out.

I 100% agree w the logic tho and imo they should lean into private streak mechanisms bc the reality of content is that reps are the dominant variable in quality of posts. 

Maybe this is the ultimate plan and “public” streaks are intentional temp boost in distribution?
