“Not enough interesting content” What is interesting content? This space is hardly even new user friendly cus they just want everyone to be building something or making arts or putting out good content Cus i know ‘interesting’ content in that cast probably didn’t mean fun content What are the goals of the space? i wonder sometimes Are we creating a social ecosystem? Or just a space to be all business The first fun stuff i came across on this app that made me feel less SERIOUS was /okbanger cus i thought everyone early user/big account was just interested in building and developing, it sometimes gave a really dull vibe.

But Trending never features more people Just the same set of people over and over and over again😂 Yeah, make your content cus you love it, but we’re human. When you’re trying to put yourself out there and it feels like the space doesn’t favor that, it crushes your determination. Or should we talk about spam lists? Cus i feel like it’s been mentioned a lot. I have a friend who believed the best place to come show her art is farcaster. She didn’t spam reply or anything, and in two days of joining, he was put in spam She gave up. So it means now is the way it works here rn is that you can’t just come in here and blow up if you don’t put the work in? Like the way it works now is that it’s hard cus people starting up might not know the way to catch people’s interests here cus their stuff aren’t interesting and it only gets better, so we have to stick around and work on getting better, to get people’s attention gradually?

yea pretty much @mazmhussain and @thecurioushermit and other folks like that who popped recently-ish have done interesting work online for YEARS before they ever came to farcaster i've been casting on FC since early 2022 ofc the algo isn't perfectly fair or meritocratic, but time + effort + consistency matter a lot

Yep. I've been building an audience on Facebook for a decade, and there's skills that come with that. I did not start out great at it.

I don’t think Murtaza’s success is a good example. It wasn’t organic. The difference between him and all of the other good casters is he was networked in on a recommendation to the the higher-ups. He essentially went viral day one. Good caster? Yes. Successful on WC because of his good content? Absolutely not

That makes total sense tbh There was a time when i wasn’t even getting 2 likes on my content Not i get up to 10-15, with 100-200 views That’s massive growth to me I even received the top caster reward 7 times. All of this in what, 4-5 months? ( it’s massive for me, really massive) And that’s why i keep thinking everyday on how to get better. I still spoke with Christin yesterday and despite what someone watching from afar my think that you and her have the audience here already, she told me she was exploring the web2 space, looking for ways to improve /okbanger and I’m sure you do the same everyday. You both are still putting in even more work than someone just starting up. I’m understanding it all better now and i think people need to know and understand this too.
