Starting to look for something new, ideally a product role. But moving from management consulting after nine years is proving difficult. Iβve been a product leader several times, for major clients, but this doesnβt seem to resonate with hiring teams. Anyone have advice for / experience with this type of move?

Biggest thing I see is that everything is input oriented, not output oriented. Also tons of passive language For the biggest bang to buck ratio, I want to understand 1. What you did 2. How it turned out 3. How you fixed it if it didn't turn out well I'm not a borg hiring manager tho, just a guy that studies people

Wholeheartedly agree. I think thatβs also one of the issues with consulting - our job is to be inputs and let the client take the credit for output (if we get to hang around long enough to see that part). Other hiccup is balancing client confidentiality. But I can definitely increase impact statements in other ways.
