Used to ride 2014-2018 (while I was stateside). The risk/reward makes a lot more sense if you either: A. Live in an area that is lower populous/more conducive to it B. Do NOT use it as a daily driver (just dedicated weekend trips where you can prepare, etc) The 80/20 of motorcycle risk comes from other people not seeing you or you getting careless bc you’re used to your routes

I totally agree with you, mindfulness and situational awareness are key to riding safely. The weekend warrior approach makes a lot of sense
