War movies used to fire me up, but now I watch them to sorta bask in the history of a moment/event/culture I respect that it’s gritty, it’s moderately accurate (esp in regards to how angry mobs with guns feel), and I’ve had the privilege of meeting some guys part of the actual op Was a v shitty series of events

ya i have a theory that blackburn falling out of the chopper was a timeline inflection point given how osama cited the task force pulling out of somalia so quickly as a reason he thought the us was weak
