If you build decent version of this Chrome extension, I'll be a DAU. - Use FIP-2 - v1 Ability to like or reply to any URL I'm on with a keyboard shortcut - v2 Ability to see all likes or casts about a URL - Log in with Farcaster or DIY Warpcast API bearer token is fine https://warpcast.com/dwr/0xfaa114

Been thinking about this all night Social incentives change with this. There’s a lot of value in starting a thread and that value power law accrues to the top level profile that starts the it If you reply to a url, the value accrues to the url - how do you think that changes the utility of posting on social?

Most tweets, IG posts, casts quickly fade. But if the URL is popular / is evergreen, your insightful reply is seen forever. Sort of like a YouTube comment. It’s a different game.

Was talking with @v a little about this - since casts expire after about a year for most users you’ll lose most of the long tail of that value Do you see a way to supplement casts w long term storage in your roadmap or do you want that done by 3rd parties?

I think the protocol may allow for flexible storage limits if you pay the contract for additional space in the nearish term. In the long term, expect permissionless archival services to be a thing.
