Social incentives change with this. 

There’s a lot of value in starting a thread and that value power law accrues to the top level profile that starts the it

If you reply to a url, the value accrues to the url - how do you think that changes the utility of posting on social?

Was talking with @v a little about this - since casts expire after about a year for most users you’ll lose most of the long tail of that value

Do you see a way to supplement casts w long term storage in your roadmap or do you want that done by 3rd parties?

Most tweets, IG posts, casts quickly fade. 

But if the URL is popular / is evergreen, your insightful reply is seen forever. Sort of like a YouTube comment.

It’s a different game.
