Balaji mentioned how Solzhenitsyn had to secretly write “The Gulag Archipelago” while being watched by the KGB, hiding his manuscript in fear of arrest. He smuggled the work out of the USSR piece by piece, trusting a handful of friends, and even after the KGB seized his original copy, he managed to get a version published in the West. He risked his life and freedom to expose the truth. And now, here we are, writers today talking about “writer’s block” while sipping lattes at Starbucks? 😂
