Reminder: even though the majority of wallet users today are likely Metamask users they represent a tiny fraction of people interested in or holding crypto. The next few years are gonna see a lot of innovation in Wallet infrastructure & dapp design. Build for the next bull market

Thoughts on account abstraction, and its role in this ?

AA helps the adoption of smart contract wallets by making them cheaper to use and easier to build around. The main benefit of SCWs is better security (e.g. no seed phrases, multisig, spending limits) so this would be good for self-custody.

Also better UX with multicalls and session keys. See that you're working on a wallet, is it possible to have an email OTP system to control transaction signatures ? (especially in the context of multicall). A custodian ux but with self-custody infra.

Yep good point, when there’s more adoption from dapps the UX of SCWs can be a lot better. Another big plus of AA: it’s easier for dapps to pay gas fees for the user. The email OTP you’re describing is exactly what we do! For users it’s like using 2FA with your email/another device but the infra is a multisig.
