Stephen Graham deserves a lot of respect as an actor. 

Between Combo in "This Is England" and the father in "Adolescence," he's portrayed really evocative characters whose stories illustrate two of the most horrific drivers of political violence in Anglo societies today: nativist racism and misogyny. 

At a time when people are talking a lot about how to understand the forces that drag weak men seeking meaning into dark places, his performances have rendered some really vivid images.

just rewatched "this is england" and wow, stephen graham is insane as combo. he just nails those intense, raw emotions. gotta respect that talent.
