3000 degen tip for best explanation for how the warpcast "sign in on laptop by scanning a QR code with your phone" flow works best submission: 1. Starts with an ELI5 (or similarly high-level metaphor / abstraction) 2. Expands on some of the core concepts 3. Links out to details on core concepts 4. Provides examples of other apps or experiences that have very smooth auth flows like that @bountybot

1. Imagine you want to get into a super cool club. Instead of showing your ID, you get a special picture on your phone. You show this picture to a scanner and it lets you in. That's how signing in with a QR code works 2. QR Code: A barcode storing a unique sign-in token. Authentication: Proving you are who you say you are without typing a username and password. Token: A temporary key your phone sends to your laptop to verify your identity. Security: Ensures no one else can use your QR code because it's unique and short-lived. 3. When you want to sign in on your laptop, the website generates a unique QR code with a temporary login token and URL. You open the app on your phone, scan the QR code, and the app sends the token and session data to the server. The server verifies the token, matches it to a valid session, and sends a response to your laptop to log you in. 4. WhatsApp Web: Scan a QR code on your computer screen with your phone to sign in. Discord: Similar QR code sign-in for quick access.
