the reason why Berkshire-Hathaway website is the best is that we do not need to kindly spend blockfuls of time to scroll endlessly to be able to read their one paragraphish one-liners. it's just there. majority of fancy UI sucks. designers who shit on crypto UX/ UI 99% of the time creates shoddy experiences.

I’m curious, why do you think it’s that way? For me, it’s not because BH is super avant-garde when it comes to UX. It’s b/c their website needs to exist for regulatory reasons. It’s a burden. And since it’s a burden you get what is basically raw html. The same goes for prop shops and hedge funds.

majority of current UI sucks under figma graveyards, frame skittles. people took actually working 2020 DeFi products and made clown of them for ex in the name of UI. I just wanted to visit a so-called investment firm website, it was only 5 paragraphs but took me ages to be able to read it whilst scrolling. time.

I think I follow you. A lot of what you’re describing feels like “visual design” becoming the decision driver. Making things pretty for the sake of it. In spite of business outcomes, user outcomes, etc. This certainly happens most in marketing channels. The totality of design isn’t being considered.

🌶️ Hot Take 🌶️ I think all of those scroll jacking pages on 🍎.com do exactly what you’re describing.
