Credit card points are a consumer bribe that preserves the credit card system’s hold over payments. USDC is 10x better for hyperinflation protection and cross border payments. It’s not 10x yet better for retail payments. I wonder if it can be, and - if not - if we should focus efforts elsewhere.

credit card points are a very american centric thing. in europe, many just use debit cards, the points game isn't very relevant. china? its all QR codes in e-wallets, again sans points. usdc payments are like cash/direct debit, just on crypto rails, no credit, per se (and of course, no rewards, per se)
