US prosecutors estimate that there are more than 1 million victims involved in Do Kwon's criminal case. Kwon was charged with nine counts, including securities fraud, money laundering and wire fraud. If convicted, he could face a maximum sentence of 130 years in prison. Kwon pleaded not guilty at his initial hearing in New York, and his next trial is scheduled for January 8, 2025.
