400g rice cakes (tteok)
2β3 fish cakes (eomuk)
1 green onion
2 cups water (about 400ml)
2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes) - optional, for extra spice
Instructions
Prepare Ingredients
Soak rice cakes in warm water for 10β15 minutes if theyβre hard.
Cut fish cakes and green onion into bite-sized pieces.
Make Broth
In a pan, add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.
Add Ingredients
Add rice cakes, fish cakes, green onion, gochujang, sugar, soy sauce, and gochugaru (if using) to the boiling water.
Cook
Stir well and cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes, until the sauce thickens and the rice cakes are soft.
