We couldn’t get him to sober up, so we grabbed a luggage cart and loaded his drunk body onto it. Lifting a completely limp person turned out to be quite the challenge. It was early morning, so luckily, no one besides the reception staff saw us... thank goodness no one called the cops, haha. We somehow managed to drag him onto the bus and headed to Bayahibe (the place where I once had those wild adventures with the tourist junkies). The bride was super embarrassed, but our team managed to calm her down.

The entire 1.5-hour ride to the port, we kept trying to wake him up, but it was hopeless. And that wasn’t great because when the boat hits waves, it can bounce, and even sober people can get injured. I’ve hurt my back twice on such trips—I couldn’t bend or turn my head for days. But the bride insisted that no matter what, we were going through with it.

We loaded the decorations and the "body" onto the boat. It was already showing signs of life but hadn’t fully regained consciousness yet. The weather that day was perfect. I had never seen the Caribbean Sea so calm before—no waves, no rocking... It was the smoothest boat ride of my life.

But that peaceful moment didn’t last long. Out of nowhere, our "body" suddenly sprang to life! It jumped up, let out some incoherent screams, and lunged at the guy helping us set up the decorations. Knocked him to the floor and started throwing punches.

At first, we didn’t even realize what was happening. The boat’s captain quickly stopped the boat and pulled the out-of-control groom away. Luckily, the decorator’s assistant was fine—he said none of the punches even landed, he just got tackled to the floor.

We dragged the groom to the other end of the boat and somehow managed to calm him down... well, at least he was awake now. Hahaha! 😆
