Been getting several phishing messages of people pretending to be my neighbor (they are not) and sharing noise complaint videos trying to get me to download the files. Be careful out there

How does the phishing works here? The videos are embedded with malicious code? I had a scam caller calling me asking if I know him, I said are you Andrew? He said yes and I told him he owed me 3000 thousand bucks , he put down the phone lol
