i've said it before and i'll say it again: we’re not just building technology, we’re building cultures. the systems we design reflect the values we carry. let’s make them kinder. more grounded. more human.

it can be weird to be in crypto with a background in the humanities. i'm here for the quiet builders, thinkers, and dreamers not chasing power and wealth, but who are trying to build systems that feel like a future worth living in

ethereum is not utopia and it is not escape; it offers the potential for a new commons that is borderless, leaderless, and endlessly forkable

until someone is actually prepared to talk to me about sovereignty through a decolonial lens, i don't want to hear about your pop up cities

idk if y'all are ready to hear it, but 'network states' are just new forms of soft colonization, wrapped in techno-utopian language

The idea behind this framework is that no single role is more important than another; we all have a role to play and they’re all valuable!

📜 Storytellers share narratives that shift perspectives, shape culture, and uplift voices often left unheard. There are many writers, podcasters, meme-makers, and historians documenting Ethereum’s evolution and helping to shape the discourse around Ethereum’s purpose, progress, and cultural significance. Shout out @0xstark.eth @chaskin.eth

❤️‍🩹 Healers help to repair harm within the community, whether addressing governance failures, conflicts, or systemic inequalities. In ethereum, this may include facilitators who resolve DAO disputes, community groups focused on diversity and inclusion in Web3 like WiEP (@poojaranjan19 ) @womenofweb3 @shefi

🧨 Disrupters challenge injustice by taking action, speaking truth to power, and disrupting harmful systems. In ethereum this can be challenging traditional financial, governance, and social systems, using Ethereum as a tool for radical change. It also looks like challenging the community internally. We see this work done by cypherpunks and privacy advocates, DeFi innovators, public goods funding programs, and voices in our community who call us on our bs.

🛠️ Builders create and maintain the infrastructure that sustains Ethereum. Think all core devs, L2 teams, tooling creators, and DAO operators who ensure systems actually work in practice

⛑️ Frontline Responders address immediate crises, provide direct support, aid, or intervention. in the ecosystem, this looks like responding security threats, network outages, or governance disputes. @ all core devs, protocol support, and client teams fixing bugs, white-hat hackers preventing exploits, and legal advocates responding to regulatory threats

I’m a Guide 🧚🏼 Guides provide resources, mentorship, and knowledge to support others. In my role at ESP, I help people find their way through the evolving and changing ecosystem. other Guides: longtime Ethereum contributors, educators, grant program stewards and those who onboard newcomers to the ecosystem.
