Depends on what you wanna prioritise? 

There are the "usual" highlights like walking around the city centre and Marina Bay; trying out local cuisine; and visiting the more touristic attractions like our theme parks and Sentosa.

Public policy: How we do things as a city-state, e.g. operating our public infrastructure. Our water infrastructure has a unique story imo (we recycle sewage into potable water, which you can learn about at the NEWater visitor centre). There's also the URA visitor centre regarding our urban planning policy history. Our policies on healthcare, housing, social services, retirement savings, food security, transport, defence and foreign policy may also be interesting, but harder to learn about independently as a tourist.

- Culture: Besides the food, I do think Singapore has lots of cultural potential given its heritage where a few major civilisational cultures have intersected: Diasporic Chinese, South Indian, Malay and British. The formation of a cohesive and distinct "Singaporean" culture and identity continues to be a work-in-progress, and is manifested via language (Singlish), literature (SingLit) and other art forms.

History: Traditionally, the focus has tended to be on the British colonial period, the Second World War and the journey towards independence (in 1965). But there is increasingly more awareness of our precolonial history, which is tied to the broader history of the Southeast Asian region.

Other angles I can think of to explore the city/country are:

- Nature: Mangrove swamps, primary/secondary tropical forests (whatever that is left in our nature reserves); tidal ecosystems; our policies regarding the treatment of green spaces within the city.
