Fantasy depends on what you consider 2nd tier - is it just anyone outside of Tolkien, Martin, Sanderson? The Broken Earth trilogy (won the Hugo award for every book in the trilogy!) The Library at Mount Char The Riyria Revelations series The Powder Mage trilogy

I mean. I didn’t mean second tier as in bad, just second tier in popularity. Broken earth is great!! Never heard of the powder mage trilogy! Sounds interesting
