For the developers out there: what are good examples of well factored and decent sized react applications in production that are open source? Like what Ghost or discourse is for emberjs Bonus points for an OS React Native app in production.

I feel like perhaps I don’t appreciate AI tools enough because I don’t know how to use them correctly. What were some ways that you felt “leveled up” your AI usage?

If you're a developer and think OOP is bad. I think you've been radicalized. I don't use OOP much anymore but there's nothing inherently bad with it. You can shoot yourself in the foot and design things poorly using it but you can do the same without OOP. Stop following code influencer advice and just build.

I’m with DHH that too many devs these days give into the “idk what’s going onnnnn?!?!?” Mentality. It’s not a good look and a bad example for junior engineers. I’m not gonna lie, I feel like the quality of engineer has dropped and I think it’s partially this mindset that is to blame.

I don’t think there is a single instance of online social interaction that I think has stayed net positive for humanity over the long term 🤔 I’m not sure why that is and is actually a bit disheartening since I traditionally liked the idea of social media to keep up with friends. Now it’s just an attention game.

Hate this. App algorithms imo are optimized for $$$ and superficial traits.

One of my favorites in Copenhagen, Bar Deco, is doing a menu called “What If?” Based on removing key ingredients from classic cocktails and rebuilding it from scratch. It’s common to do twists by subbing less important ingredients, but this is another level. Here is a bramble but no crushed ice that is signature - instead introduce a Yuzu Cointreau Sorbet

I’ve been wondering about what to start casting about on farcast because it seems obvious to talk about crypto on here. Plus lots of smarter people than me in the space. So why not another one of my passions, cocktails?

Why is the aesthetic of gyms, even the good ones, always so lifeless? Always black and grey and white everywhere. I want fans blowing air in my face at 12 km/h and a simulation of running along a forest path in a magical fantasy world .... or at least some plants.
