It's crazy how much the bird-app timeline is engineered to get you to keep scrolling. It takes every ounce of energy to stop. FC on the other hand is like a pleasant scroll in the park.

I’ve been seeing a ton of praise like this recently, and while I (clearly!) also like Farcaster, most of it seems to be about there just being way fewer people here, as opposed to anything to do with the product itself?

Def less people on here is a factor. That being said, something sensory and tangible about the UX makes me feel like im not doomscrolling. The only thing I can point to is Twitter has been relentlessly optimizing for DAU, session length, etc for years. That isnt FC's mission.

To be clear, I know that Farcaster does actually have a lot of product differentiators. I just don’t see them being discussed nearly as much as “who uses it” (or perhaps more accurately, who doesn’t).
