When you download a game, what matters more : 
1. Get to play as soon as possible, so like a guest mode
2. Your data being saved properly so you don't lose it in case you delete or lose your device.

I like being able to play games as soon as their downloaded, but often take save backups on the cloud for-granted until I get a new OS and realise Steam kept all my saves

Ony phone, I don't really care as much unless the game is lore heavy. I see it as a benefit, but not exactly necessary.
